Brooke, Registered BAS Agent, Brooke Ashleigh Business Services, at her desk in rural Queensland

Busy isn't the same as profitable.
Your books should tell you which one you are.

You're booked out. The invoices are going out. And if someone asked what you actually cleared last month, you'd have to guess. The receipts are in three places, the BAS gets done the night before it's due, and the only report you ever see is the tax bill.

That's where the expensive mistakes live. Super paid a week late and suddenly not deductible. GST claimed on something it shouldn't have been. A contractor the ATO thinks is an employee. None of it feels urgent until the letter arrives, and by then it's penalties, interest and a weekend you don't get back.

I'm Brooke, a Registered BAS Agent, and I only work with businesses that sell their time and skill. Clinics, studios, consultancies, job sites, coaches. That focus means I already know your cost structure and what the ATO expects from you before we've had our first call.

Here's what changes: your books are reconciled every week. BAS is lodged by me, on agent deadlines which are later than yours. Payroll is right. And once a month you get a one-page report in plain English that says what you made, what you owe and what's coming.

Busy or profitable? You'll know. Every month, without opening a spreadsheet.

Registered BAS Agent for businesses that sell their time and skill.

I grew up in a family of contractors and trades, so I learned early what a quiet week does to cashflow and that nobody starts a business because they love doing the books.

Years later, working shifts in mining and construction with a two-year-old and no family nearby, I studied bookkeeping and became a Registered BAS Agent. Not for the spreadsheets, but to understand the mechanics of business properly: where the money comes in, where it leaks, and what the ATO expects. That's what let me build a practice around my kids instead of a roster.

Along the way I fell for the beauty, health and online business worlds too, so my client list runs from concretors to injectors to coaches. Different days, same problem: you sell your skill, you're flat out, and the money side is running on guesswork.

I hold the work to a standard most small practices don't bother with. It just happens to run from a glass office in rural Queensland with a horse outside the window. Three kids, clients in every state, and I have never once judged a shoebox.

I went from spending hours on my bookkeeping to now being able to use those hours back in my business which is a huge win for me. Brooke keeps me updated, is contactable whenever I have any questions and is easy to talk to. She is professional, knowledgeable, efficient and also down to earth. It's such a relief to have a someone reliable in my business and to know my bookkeeping is well looked after. She goes above and beyond and I wouldn't be without her.
